Wine Regions of Italy

Owner, winemaker, and sommelier, Tony Parnigoni leads this class and tasting. He will break down in layman’s terms how to understand the five main wine regions including what wines are popular, what grapes are dominant, and how to read those confusing labels. Good Italian wine usually does not tell you what the grapes are in the wine. The goal of the class is to give you enough knowledge to walk into the wine section of a store and know what you are buying. The focus will be on wines from:

• Tuscany
• Piedmont
• Veneto
• Abruzzo
• Sicily

There will be a blend of white and red wine that is predominantly dry to semi-dry.
